Spent three nights at the Tivoli and overall the experience was very good. The hotel is located in a great spot to walk to surrounding neighborhoods and selection of restaurants. Rooms were clean, comfortable and the maid service excellent. We ate in the hotel restaurant one evening and had a lovely meal as well. Lot's of options for the breakfast offering and they seem to cater to tours as well. The hotel was doing renovations while we were their and unfortunately, our room was on the 8th floor where most of it was occurring. We were out and about for most of the day, but for the short time we were in the room, the pounding of hammers and drills were noticeable. In addition, the 9th floor is also a bar/restaurant with live music and we could here it through the ceiling. We did bring it to the attention of the front desk, and they responded with professionalism, empathy and most importantly multiple options for us. We travel quite a bit so this kind of response was well appreciated and showed me that they have a culture of service. The entire team including Rafael, Ricardo, Piero and Lorenzo all stepped up and made sure we were satisfied with the results. Truly impressive and I would definitely go back despite the issues we faced.

Tivoli Avenida Lisboa was amazing! Let’s start with the service….as soon as I walked in I was extremely taken care and then became increasingly spoiled as Rafael suggested restaurants, bars, and a fado show making us reservations for everything! He checked in on us to make sure everything was going well…felt so safe and sooo taken care of. The hotel itself is gorgeous. Beautiful flowers, everything clean and luxurious. The rooftop restaurant SEEN is a lively beautiful bar with a fantastic view of Lisbon. Get the wasabi papi drink if you go! Overall, 10/10.

Staff was extremely rude. We had selected and paid for early check in and we were told the hotel is too busy sorry you cannot check in. With a snarky attitude and rudeness. We had an over night flight and were exhausted. Made us wait 4 hours. Without refund. As offered, the front desk staff “made”us a dinner reservation. When we arrived, they did not have our name listed. Do not stay here if you expect 5 star service.

This was our second stay with Tivoli in Portugal and it was excellent. The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are immaculate, breakfast was fantastic and the staff were perfect with young children. A special thanks to Pedro and his team on the front desk for their help when we left our luggage at the airport!

Do not accept a room on the 7th floor! Whatever they tell you - it is not an upgrade!

I got a room on the 7th floor. The noise of the rooftop bar until 2.00 am is unacceptable. When I complained I received another room, but got downgraded (only available room). All fine. However, when I checked out they asked how my stay was! They did not apologize immediately and did not offer a discount because of the downgraded room. How a 5-Star Hotel can sell a room below the noisy rooftop bar remains a mistery. Never again. They handled the matter really badly.
